Experimental spoken word track, done as part of the 2017 50/90 songwriting challenge.
Amanda Kay Williams sent me a recent shopping list, and a 30 second recording of cars driving over the metal grating onto the Golden Gate Bridge.
I manipulated the audio clip, then started recording instruments. With each new part I recorded, I took off my headphones so that I couldn't hear the parts I'd recorded previously. I also improvised every part.
Last night I went to the store, I bought toilet paper, sandwich bags, dryer sheets, dish washer detergent, chicken ramen noodle bowls, string cheese, and vodka.
And then I walked over the grating on the Golden Gate Bridge...
