Sinclair & Murphy's previous albums were abstract - beat poetry over strangled, manipulated loops of sound - but this one is more grounded and 'traditional', such as it is. The music is jazzy, in a psych sort of way, and there's a current of sensuality in the lyrics that runs through the whole record. It gives the impression of a nightclub performance in the depths of Hell.
